Vinaigrette Wows!

These solid vinaigrette recipes in your arsenal will guarantee each of your salads will be in demand for at least a second or even a third helping! We bring you not just one basic recipe, but three delicious variations.

 

Basic Vinaigrette

You’ll need:

Pepper

⅔ cup extra virgin olive oil

¼ tsp salt plus extra

3 tsp spring onion, minced

6 tsp Dijon mustard

¼ cup red wine vinegar

Method:

  1. Mix together the salt, spring onion, Dijon mustard and red wine vinegar.
  2. Slowly drizzle in the olive oil and continue whisking. Season.

 

Balsamic

Substitute balsamic vinegar instead of red wine vinegar in the above-mentioned recipe.

 

Herby

Sprinkle a few tablespoons of fresh (chopped) dill, chives or parsley to the basic vinaigrette recipe.

 

Orange-y

Stir in six teaspoons of orange juice along with two teaspoons of orange zest to the basic vinaigrette recipe and whisk well.
