Whether the weather beats you down or you want to celebrate an occasion, you can’t go wrong with lassi. We bring you our favourite lassi recipes of the season.
1. Cucumber, Pineapple and Pomegranate Lassi
The tanginess of pineapple, the nutritional value of cucumber, and the balance of sweet and tart in pomegranate come together to make this drink a heavenly option.
Ingredients:
6 ice cubes
2 cups fresh yoghurt
1 cucumber, sliced
3 tsp sugar
1 pineapple, sliced
To garnish:
Edible flowers
1 tbsp pomegranate seeds
Method:
- Place the pineapple slices on an oven tray and sprinkle the sugar over. Bake in a preheated oven until the sugar melts. Cool the slices completely.
- Blend the ice cubes, yoghurt, cucumber and baked pineapple until smooth.
- Pour into tall glasses and garnish with the pomegranate seeds and edible flowers.
2. Mint, Ginger, Basil and Honey Lassi
The combined health benefits and medicinal properties of the ingredients would give any wonder drug in the market stiff competition! And, of course, it tastes delicious.

Ingredients:
Black salt powder, to taste
1 cup fresh yoghurt
4 mint leaves, chopped
1 tbsp honey
To garnish:
Edible flower petals
1 tsp ginger juliennes
10 basil leaves, fried
Method:
- Blend all the ingredients well.
- Pour the lassi into serving glasses and garnish with the fried basil leaves, ginger juliennes, and edible flower petals.
3. Aloe Vera Lassi
Since the healing aloe vera gel is tasteless, the honey and lime juice in this variation lends it an interesting texture.
Ingredients:
½ tbsp crushed pistachios
½ tbsp crushed cashew nut
5 mint leaves
6 ice cubes
3 tbsp honey
Black salt powder, to taste
1 tbsp lime juice
2 cups fresh yoghurt
¼ cup fresh aloe vera pulp
Method:
- Place all the ingredients in a mixer and blend until smooth. Pour into tall glasses.
- Garnish with crushed nuts and aloe vera slices.
