There is no better way to enjoy the goodness of carrots than with a spoonful of Gajar ka halwa.
50 g grated khoya
1 silver leaf (varq)
Nuts: sliced almonds, halved cashew nuts, destemmed raisins
1 tbsp ghee
1 tsp green cardamom powder
2 tbsp milk powder
¾ cup sugar
2 cups grated carrots
- Mix ghee and carrots and cover with a lid or clingfilm. Microwave on high for 5 minutes.
- Add sugar, green cardamom powder, milk powder, half of the nuts and khoya. Microwave uncovered on high for 3 minutes.
- Garnish with the balance of nuts, silver leaf and khoya.
