Check Off This List
Before you start partying, take a minute to decide what mixed drinks you’d be serving, and accordingly make a list of the supplies. Our checklist includes:
#1 Liquor
Choose the spirits your guests will love. If you’re unsure what mixed drinks to serve, buy a few basics: vermouth, rum, tequila, vodka, gin, whiskey, and Scotch.
#2 Mixers
Some basic mixers include ginger ale, lemon-lime seltzer, tonic water, and carbonated water.
#3 Garnishes
Top off the mixed drinks with garnishes. Lemon wedges, fresh fruits, lemon peels, olives, and Maraschino cherries are popular drink garnishes.
#4 Ice
To keep your cocktails cool, have about half a kg of cubes per person.
#5 Bar glasses
You don’t need a huge selection of glassware. Ten-ounce-all-purpose glasses will work for nearly every alcoholic drink.
#6 Various Bar Tools
Keep essentials like a wastebasket, sponge, small towel, cocktail napkins, corkscrew, and a bottle opener handy.
